About the Event

Organized by the Association of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)

The Association of CSE is organizing an Idea Pitching Competition, “Idea Pitch – An Innovative Solutions Challenge,” on 17th August2026. This event provides a platform for students to research a pressing social issue and pitch an innovative, practical solution to it.

All interested students are encouraged to participate and make the most of this opportunity to showcase their innovative thinking and problem-solving skills!

Competition Topics

Each team must select any social issues at the time of registration:

Competition Structure

 

1.Round 1: Abstract Submission & Screening:Deadline: 21st July 2026.

Every registered team must submit a short abstract (strictly under 300 words) on their selected issue. The abstract must cover:

  • Problem identification
  • Basic research
  • Importance of the issue

Note: Selection is based purely on abstract quality, not on the order of registration. Only the top 3 teams from each class will be shortlisted to advance.

2.Round 2 & 3: Solution Design & Final Idea Pitch: Event Date: 17th August2026.

Shortlisted teams will develop and present their complete solution before the judging panel. Your final pitch must cover:

  • Problem statement & Proposed solution
  • Innovation & Target users
  • Implementation plan & Cost / business model
  • Expected social impact

 

Evaluation Criteria

The judging panel will score presentations based on four core pillars:

  • Creativity: Originality of thought and approach.
  • Feasibility: Practicality and realistic implementation potential.
  • Innovation: Advanced or clever use of modern problem-solving methods.
  • Social Impact: The depth and scale of positive change the solution offers.

Important Guidelines

  • A student can be a part of only one team.
  • Teams must register and submit their abstract before the deadline; late submissions will not be considered under any circumstances.
  • Further scheduling details (venue, reporting time, and pitch slots) will be shared with the shortlisted teams separately.
