The Association of CSE is organizing an Idea Pitching Competition, “Idea Pitch – An Innovative Solutions Challenge,” on 24th July 2026. The event provides a platform for students to research a pressing social issue and pitch an innovative, practical solution to it.

Topics for the Competition
Each team must select ONE of the following social issues at the time of registration:
a)Unemployment
b)Mental health among students
c)Plastic waste and pollution
Competition Structure
Round 1 – Abstract Submission & Screening
Every registered team must submit a short abstract on their selected issue, covering: problem identification, basic research, and importance of the issue.
Abstract word limit: 300 words (strictly).
Abstracts will be screened and evaluated by the judging panel.
Only the top 3 teams from each class will be shortlisted to advance to Round 2. (Note: selection is based purely on abstract quality - not on order of registration.)
Round 2 & 3 – Solution Design and Final Idea Pitch
Shortlisted teams will develop and present their complete solution before the judges, covering:
Problem statement
Proposed solution
Innovation
Target users
Implementation plan
Cost / business model
Expected social impact
Evaluation Criteria
Creativity
Feasibility
Innovation
Social impact
Important Notes
Registration is open only to students of the CSE department.
A student can be part of only one team.
Teams must register and submit the abstract before the deadline; late submissions will not be considered.
A maximum of 3 teams per class will proceed to Round 2, based on abstract screening by the judges.
Further schedule (venue, reporting time, and pitch slot) will be shared with shortlisted teams separately.
